It's not going to please everyone, of course, but when we are down to needing some fresh organic veg and healthy choices with regard to frozen and fresh fish, this is the spot. Through Amazon, the delivery service is always reliable and spot on. Some good specials keep me coming back. It's better than many Whole Foods I've visited because people are friendly and it's not a snobby atmosphere at all.

Excellent specialty foods, cheeses and wines. Superb breads. And the store is always surprising me with something like fresh pierogis or wonderful pies. The staff is friendly and helpful and will take you to the item you're looking for. If you're an Amazon Prime member, there are discounts and sales to take advantage of, and I look forward to their holiday meal choices.

I've been to about a dozen WF stores around the US, from NY to CA, Philly, Baltimore, Milwaukee and now East Lansing, MI. I'm not sure what the other reviewers we're getting at on their reviews. Maybe, the follow up conversations between WF and those reviewers resulted in some mojo being applied. Here's my opinion. With the exception of local fare which I see at various WFs, e.g. local wines in Napa, local cheeses in Milwaukee and local beers in East Lansing, I found this WF to be very consistent with what I've seen at other locations around the US. Consistently excellent. I have to admit that the bad reviews kept me away for the first day of our visit to MI, but we purchased prepared food from the deli section on our way to the airport. Cajun chicken salad wrap and a Greek chicken sandwich. I had the same Cajun chicken salad in Napa on Monday...yum. We did not purchase hot food here, but the hot food bar looked great at 3PM. The food looked fresh and well curated. In fact the bar was being tended to as we were there. WF is like my home away from home. When in Napa we ate breakfast there every morning. We ate at least one dinner there as well. When the new store in my town opens, my family and I will be regulars. Can't wait. PS, Jeff, I know you're reading... if the quality slips I'll let you know. Keep up the good work.

This is the 1st Whole Foods I've been to that I've seen a bar! And it's cheap! They got several local beers and some more national on tap for anything from $3-$6 a glass. #win! As far as the grocery store itself, it's a solid store with several options. It also has a beer fridge and lots of wine options. And there is hot food served in the bar. Is this the new norm?
